The Compaq Computer Corporation was established in 1982 and existed as its own entity, until it was merged with HP in 2007 and the name entirely retired in 2013. Compaq are responsible for producing a small and concise range of inkjet printers and ink cartridges for these machines.
Most of the printers they produced followed a two cartridge model that featured a standalone black ink cartridge and an additional tri-colour ink cartridge that was filled with cyan, magenta and yellow ink. These two ink cartridges work together to create an infinite range of images and are incredibly versatile.
In addition to these two cartridge printers, Compaq also have a small range of machines that rely upon a single black ink cartridge for creating monochrome images that are ideal for text or very basic images.
