Ink cartridges what is the life span of unused cartridges?1: Accepted AnswerIt is difficult to pinpoint an exact life span for cartridges, although it is generally dependent on the manner in which they are kept. We always recommend keeping cartridges in a sealed packet, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. With cartridges such as the Epson 26XL, you shouldn't really see many issues if the cartridges are not used for a period of time, as the print head is in the printer rather than the cartridge, as such, running a head cleaning cycle from your printer should freshen everything up.
