Preserving the environment
By remanufacturing cartridges (HP, Lexmark) our suppliers are preventing thousands of tons of inkjet cartridges from ending up in landfill sites.
Although remanufacturing compatible cartridges (Epson, Canon, Brother) isn't financially viable these cartridges have been designed by our suppliers to be recyclable into other goods.
Did you know that of the 60 million inkjet cartridges used each year in the UK, only about 5% are recycled? This means that 57 million cartridges get thrown away each year and end up in landfill sites or are incinerated. Inkjet cartridges will take about 1,000 years to decompose in landfill sites so recycling and remanufacturing them is by far the best way to protect our environment.
All cardboard that we use (and we do use a lot!!) as a business is either sent for recycling or reused for packing materials. |
